The lookout point and Janjač peak (1473 m above sea level) on Mount Tara can be easily reached by easy hiking from village Gornje Karaklije (Zaovine).
From this landscaped vantage point, there is a magnificent panoramic view of the Zaovina area, the Tara massif, Crni vrh and Velik Stolac. In good weather, you can see Visegrad and the famous bridge on the Drina, Mehmed Pasha Sokolović, which was described in his novel by our Nobel laureate Ivo Andrić. Also, the remains of trenches from the First World War can be seen here. The viewpoint itself is located in Zaovine, above Gornje Karaklije, on the very border of Serbia and Republika Srpska (BiH).
